What is a single-vane, semi-open impeller?
This design uses one main sweeping blade with a more open flow path than a traditional channel impeller. It helps fibres and small solids pass through with fewer places to snag, while still producing better pressure and efficiency than a vortex (free-flow) design.
Why choose this over a vortex or non-clog pump?
- Vs vortex: better efficiency and head, lower running cost, but not as wipe-proof
- Vs channel impeller: more forgiving with fibres and stringy material
Ideal for drainage/surface water with small impurities and effluent with fibres (e.g. laundries) where a balance of clog resistance and efficiency is needed.
What discharge connection does this pump have?
